Whats up Everyone, I thought that I would upload some images of a few Salvia Divinorum sprouts that I grew form seeds that I harvested in Hawaii. There's not much information about Salvia seeds and even fewer pictures of the seedlngs themselvs so heres a couple.
About a month or so:

A few weeks later:

And the mother patch from which the seeds came from:

How long did it take the seeds to germinate after you planted them?
Did you germinate the seeds in that same exact soil?
If not,how did you germinate the seeds?

It took about a week for the seeds to sprout. I just put them in the soil very close to the top and I got around a 30% germination rate.

Nope, sorry. I don't know much about the big patch. I was shown it by a friend. I guess its a known patch around where I live. I don't know which strain it is or if it was raised from seed. It's not one plant as it has fallen over many times and resprouted into new plants. Its like a tangle of stems below all the leaves.

That is incredible! I've never seen a Salvia plant grown that big before. No wonder so much Salvia is grown in Hawaii.

looks good, i only seen salvia from seeds once before. i wonder how active these seedlings turns out to be. when growing from seeds you get a new generation and there is a high cnance that the content of salvinorium-a can be found in larger or smaller amounts.

Thanks for the kind compliments but I really don't have that much to do with it. Plants here seem to take care of themselves. I just get the pleasure of planting and watching the wonders of nature take place. All the sprouts look almost identicle except for one... maybe its a special one. I think I will wait for quite a bit longer before I sample some of their leaves or take cuttings.
