intrest in shrooms throughout the world must have, in general a good popularity, take the activity in this site alone. but in the case round were i live, they are free, the grow in massive numbers, easy to find and identify, liberty caps & flyagaric but only 1 or two people i know enjoy them,80% of my friends and probly 30% of the people i know are drug users, the thing is they are scared to take mushrooms,or have no intrest, they are more intrested in spending there time on spending their wages on 2 days of coke or e. my question is why,in my experience, coke is the most over rated and over priced thing on this planet,ok e is cheap and nice, hash is cheap and nasty, but what IS so wrong with shrooms

Nothing's wrong with shrooms, they'll harm you a hell of alot less than dangerous drugs like coke and x (but I don't think shrooms would harm you in the first place). From my experiance, and what I've learned from other users on the board, shrooms are safe, and the experiance is like nothing else.

From what I understand, it is also easier to eat them when you grow them yourself rather than picking them from a field. Less stress about misidentification, unknown strength, etc. Don't forget that most synthetic drugs are very adictive with prolonged use. Shrooms tend to be counter adictive. If you take them a lot, they just don't do as much. My friend has to wait at _least_ a month between doses to get a mind numbing trip.

At first I always was a bit reluctant toward mushrooms. Somehow I didn't quite like that it's from nature and felt more comfortable with something synthetic like LSD. Somehow LSD was like the perfect drug for me made in the controlled environment of a laboratory, while mushrooms always have that bit of uncertainty over them. Like with growing for example... mushrooms can pretty much differ because of the environment they grow up in while LSD is always the same (at least, that was what I thought back then). And I didn't like that uncertainty of not exactly knowing how that particular mushroom will affect me. Nowadays I learned that mushrooms are very safe. And why not, they've been used for thousands of years instead of LSD that just has a relatively short history. I'm as confident with them as with LSD. But still I wouldn't want to grow them myself because of fear for infections that I might not notice. It's that not exactly knowing for sure that fears me.

yes i think we share the same views really. And with coke for eg,i't 's easy to take and a type of ego trip,as if you think you are someting or someone important, i love shroom's,but like most people i here, tend to go off them for months at a time, then back on for months, this must be a bonus, like lsd, shrooms never seem to cause a craving for and it frightens me i nearly fell into the trap of coke, and it frightens me to think,my friends will be hooked to coke or even worse, fall for tha smack because it's only time that stands between coke being the big thing to the next and probly the last big hit, only 2 people i know have taken brown and they are clean now but really fu*ked up and confused

I think it comes down to one of a few things. 1) Some people are too scared to try shrooms in the first place. It's understandible, in a way. Not everyone likes the idea of loosing their mind. I can see how someone who has never tried a hallucinogen would imagine a trip to be like going insane. 2) Misinformation is a shitty deal. "They make your back all fucked up for life, dooood!" Enough said. 3) Some people just don't like tripping. For the same reason that I prefer hallucinogens over stimulants, another person could prefer stimulants over hallucinogens.
