Decoy Tool Tracks

I know that some of you have been trying to find the new Tool tracks. Well, all I have to say is: You impatient fucks! 

:grin: Only kidding. I've been trying to sneak a track or two as well. Infact, I've ran into a few decoys. Here's one that I thought was kinda funny in a random way (Maynard is probably in it too).

Note: I'm adding the word "Decoy" to the end of the file name for reference (it wasn't there when I downloaded it :wink:).  :cool:

How do you know they are real? I heard one clip I thought for sure was real, only to find out it was from a song of another band.

Check out these forums, these guys are pretty wacko tool fans.  If an actual leak was out there these guys would find it first.

Hey guys, check this song out. It's labeled "Vicarious", and IMO it's pretty damn awesome (the bass riffs for sure). It definitely sounds like a new version of Tool, but it just doesn't match the track length on the released info. It's 2 minutes 49 seconds.

Pretty cool! But what do you think: real deal, or a fake?

I would be surprised if it's real, although it does sound great. The riff reminds me of Lateralis, it could easily just be that whoever recorded the decoys wanted it to sound toolish.

I'm thinking it's either a demo type deal from Tool, or part of a song from another band. It would suck to waste a decent bass line like that.  :shrug: :wink:
