 Dosage fresh for first time?/First Summary&badnews

Probably within the next week, my fiancee and i and another friend are FINALY going to get to taste the fruits of my labor (i beat my puerto rican's into submission and they finaly pinned like mad) This will be the first time on shrooms for all 3 of us. My fiancee and I are extreamly experienced with LSD, however the other friend has no psychodellic experience whatsoever. I am extreamly sensitive to substances of any nature, so i was wondering what a good dose in Wet weight would be good. Also, what is an average wet amout for any first timer. I usualy see suggestions for dry amouts and i've heard from many sources that 1/2 and eigth is the perfect newbie dose. What would that be approximately in wet? sorry i'm realy bad with numbers so i'm just kinda graspin' for straws here. I'm quite excited about this so forgive my long and poorly structured post. I'm well stocked on triptoys left over from my acid days, and we have a nice laid back environment to trip in, everything is currently set up except for the dosage so if there are any suggestions...please suggest.

I think you should not be moderate. If anything eat alot your first time.
I ate about 6 fresh shrooms my first time. Except one was a big inch thick mutant.
Some people who have never ate shrooms say that one little fresh one trips them out. Go for 6 average sized shrooms.

well.. if you've got a scale.. about 20 to 30 grams of fresh mushrooms would do the trick (each)... but be very careful of aborts.. cause they can be very potent. imo.

err.. well.. if you actually want to see some crazy shit, go with 40-60 grams.. keep in mind the ratio of wet weight to dry is 10:1 so 60 grams fresh is 6 grams dry.. more or less.
between 3 and 6 grams of dry pr's would wack me.. so I stick with my original 20-30 wet grams

A good idea would be to go to the "How to dose" section on the left hand side of the shroomery homepage. It has a plethora of information and even has a dosage calculator. It is always so funny that people are willing to take the time to post something in the message boards before they have explored the website.

Ah yes, however the dosage calculator is not 100% correct for every circumstance. I wanted openions and comparisons pretaining to other people's usual doses in Wet grams, as i've got so much info on dry to fill my head foreva' I got what i asked for, thanks for the help.

Psillycat: I'll be short about it.
If your shrooms are cubensis:
Compost-grown Cubensis averages ~6mg Psilocybin to 10gr wet
Rice-grown Cubensis averages ~12mg PSB.
Grain-grown Cubensis is somewhere in between, say ~9mg.
If you both can stand tripping quite well, I'd say go for 20mg, which equals the 100mcg an average microdot packs.
My first trip, (1993) was on Liberty Caps and packed about a 12mg wallop.
It was uniquely wonderful and quite memerable, even now I know lots of it in great visual/mental detail. I suggest you aim your friend's dose to 12mg. And:
"The stronger the Trip, the more likely it'll be unpleasant."
Most people have their hands full at ~20mg !!!

I agree with Newt..... 1 1/2 - 2 dry grams for your friend or about 20 wet grams. If you`ve tried acid I`d say around 30 wet grams at least.Try them with some Sunny Delight in a blender.Way less abdominal stuff going on if any of you are squeemish or get nauseated easily, and they kick in FAST ... sometimes 15 or 20 minutes. Have fun !!!!!!!!!!

dude...she said she was bad with numbers and there you go throwing out micrograms, milligrams, grams, dates, 20,6...jeez.
and someone else said 60g wet!! holy shit i'd trip beyond level five on that! whatever though...you said you were experienced, but with you frying hard and your friend freakin out on his/her first dose, that would be crazy.

Felix and all yall others thankyous very much, i'm planning on about 20 g each (that would be 60 total for the 3 of us) Planning on chewin' em plain up and taking some ginger along with it. SUNNY D IS GAGGY BADS! i've just never liked it, some other drink will have to do =P ( i would bump my dose up higher because of the used to acid thing, but keep in mind that one hit of just about any cid will put me in a state simaler to a Level 4)

Hope I haven't given you a headache like Felix suggested!
I enjoy spending time with reference books & a pocket calculator, sorry to have gotten a lil carried away there.
Let me try to make it up to you with some suggestions, using as little numbers as possible, since you aren't a nerd like me.
Compost-grown Cubies: You Guys: 20gr (2/3 ounce) Newbie: 15gr (1/2 ounce)
Grain-grown Cubies: You Guys: 15gr (1/2oz) Newbie: 10gr (1/3oz)
Rice-grown Cubies: You guys: 15gr (1/2 again) Newbie: 7.5gr (1/4oz)
These figures are cautious, but I think they should be. Too much can turn a fun Trip into a struggling-for-survival in most people. Another suggestion: Cut 'em up into small pieces rite before use & mix them. You'll roughly get equal strenght to a weight if you do that. One shroom may not be felt while another is a trip by itself.
To me & most I've heard, shrooms are easier to trip on than LSD: don't worry.
If the suggestions I made prove to be too strong, most people would be able to manage it most of the time.
If they're too weak (more likely) you can wait until 1 1/2 after eating and up it a little. Remember: doubling any dose of shrooms (or LSD) moves the trip into an entirely different ballpark, being AT LEAST 2x stronger.

PS: (not to PK) Oh yeah, 'bout 60gr fresh each: Thats MURDER man! If the shrooms are of good strenght that may be as much as 90mg, which means it WILL BE as strong as, say, 100gr fresh in that case. That's like downing 5 strong microdots of LSD while most people can only stand only 1 !!! On the average it'll be likely 3 dots and that's still way too much.
If you take it yourself: you overestimate "most people" 's coping ability.
If it's your idea of a trick to play on people: that's EVIL !!!

Please don't feel offended or anything! The 40-60 fresh grs. suggestions really huge considering there can be like 60-90mgs in there if it's potent. It scared the flying shit out of me, having heared some once-but-never-again horrorstories.
Even your 20-30gr recommendation is on the strong side for most people. On a good day I'd go for it, but the newbie may be like 100lbs or something, or 5x more sensitive to Psilocybin than average.

Not a prob bob, thanks for you suggestions, i am now alot more comfortable when it comes to the dosage part of the mushroom experience. and i'm not, not a nerd, i'm an art nerd, not a number nerd if it makes you feel better, my fiancee is a computer nerd, and the other friend i'm tripping with is a film nerd. so it should be very interesting

When the trip's done, will U drop off a short note how it was?
All three of you are new to this & I think most who posted like to know what went down.
On my dose reccommendations: The "You Guys" doses won't be stronger as a good microdot, the "Newbie" doses are aimed to be in the same dose-range that Shrooms are generally sold in Holland (legally), where I live. (10-15mg Psilocybin) Oh yeah... BOUGHT/WILD PICKED Cubies are usually half as strong as Grain/Rice-HOMEGROWN stuff. My PF-TEK grown Cubies NEVER were under 1.2%, meaning 2gr will be too much for most. Just being careful...
