If Albert Einstein's name was "Lord of Ass To Mouth" would he have been taken any less seriously? It's highly doubtful. How does ones name or in this case username have anything to do with their level of intelligence? Give me a break.. People definitely need to lighten up a bit. :chugbeer: :crazy2:

The name changes are fucking hilarious and it doesn't take but 2 clicks to figure out who somebody was before the change. :thumbup:

the name changes are fucking stupid. its really confusing letting everyone just change their name every 10 seconds. it makes the whole board look messy and dumb when u see these users with long ridiculous names. its one thing for someone like fortyounces to change his name to 40oz its a whole different thing to have people named i_love_poo_scat_omg_lol_kekeke ... it might have been a funny gag for a few weeks but i think its time to set things right

I see your point, but if a new member was looking for valuable information on mushroom identification, I'm not sure if they'd be inclined to listen to someone named "My Chin Is A Ball Rest" or whatever it is :shrug:

And KOTT, yeah, the name's are gross and immature for the most part, but like I said, I'm sure it will die down soon and the novelty will pass.  I hope so anyways  :tongue:

it annoying too to have no idea who you are talking to.

as for the names being gross and immature, i could really almost care less about that...except i think it makes the whole board look dumb. people dont need to have those names. there is PLENTY of space in your sig, avatar, title,and location to show off any dumb sayings or words you want to. you dont need to change ur name to a fucking sentence

Just as long as I'm not required to change my own name I don't care. I'd probably make some dumbass post when I was drunk and then the next day respond with some inflamatory response before I realized it was me.

I don't care what people call themselves really, I just find it confusing, but at the same time, if I don't know who you are, then I guess its like talking to someone new everyday...I could so see myself flaming someone tho and not realizing its someone I know that I otherwise wouldn't flame.

I think the only people that seem to change their names are those that have to out of reputation around the site.  Maybe if we had to keep our usernames it would add a little accountability to what we say.  Then again, as long as the vets keep their names it isn't all bad.....I want that search tool still :smile:
