Too high humidity?! A silly question???

I was wondering how much of a problem too high humidity is when fruiting...I know that they need really high but does there get to be a point when it is too high and all goes to the crapper? Thanks.

the air can only get so humid. The more humidity the better.

If you have good air exchange it should be difficult to mantain too high of humidity. I think too low of humiduty is more of a problem w/ most beginers. I think that signs of too high humidity are in the mycelium. If you only get fluffy mycelium or if you get visibly wet mycelium at the bases of your shrooms your humidity is too high.

Once the mushrooms are actually growing, 90%+ humidity is too high. Your mushrooms can end up going mushy and contaminating. About 80% is fine and just a bit of mist on the inside of your terrarium walls will provide that level.

maybe for the fruiting cycle on casings 80s is cool, but cakes fruit better in high humidity, like 95+. they dont need a drop in humidity like casings
