sometime over the summer I spent a time at a friends house and he had this crazy indian chant music, with all kinds of strange instruments and it was very chill and spiritual, does anyone know of any music like this?

Yeah, one of my guitar instructors spent a few years in india learning the music. Its way cool. Definately makes you feel something different than listening to western style music.

I don't know if that's the Indian you were talking about, but she's quite beautiful

Shalabi Effect also incorporates some eastern elements
