Nomi's Cube method in "Find/Grow"
    #544570 - 02/08/02 07:35 AM (22 years, 2 months ago)

I'm interested in trying this tek.
http://www.shroomery.org/findorgrowthem.php?View=docs&doc=31

You just boil leaves and grass, take some of the boiled water, innoculate it and shortly thereafter innoculate the leaves and grass with the mycelium water. Was looking for suggestions on what type might grow best on leaves grass? Looking for one that will grow indoors rather than the traditional outdoor woodlovers.

Thanks

It?s called Cubie method since it?s ment for P. cubensis.
In my experience a rather contamination prone tek, that?s why it?s in the advanced/experimental section.

Oops. Thumped by one more knowledgeable than myself. But you didn't provide any suggested spore type....

Thumped? Why do you think so?

Any P. cubensis strain will work.
Ecuador, B+, Cambodia, Thai, PF, Puerto Rican, Orissa......and so on and so on....

I don't think Anno was thumping you, I think he was just trying to steer you away from this TEK. Any strain of Psilocybe cubensis should work fine, check out sporeworks.com or thehawkseye.com to see the descriptions and choose which one would tickle your tummie.

Is "straightened out" better than "thumped?" Didn't mean it in a bad way. Sorry, if insult implied.

I understand that it's "experimental," but it sounds interesting. If spores really grown the "leaf water" then mebbe the mycelium water could be used to innoculate, even if you aren't innoculating leaves and grass..just curious, and will likely experiment.

Thanks for all you add to this forum Anno...!

pasteurizing straw is a better method.. but you would need something to spawn it with.. and mycelium water may work for that, but I'm not sure.
