I know this has been brought up before......

....and I know it's probably not going to happen, but I would really love for there to be a sports forum, or at least a subforum somewhere on the shroomery.  Recently there have been leagues formed comprised of all shroomery members for fantasy football, and now fantasy baseball.  We've had threads stickied in the Pub and in OTD for these leagues.  But where so many members are participating in the discussion about different teams, players, trades, transactions, doing some general shit talking during the season, etc., I feel like it would be really helpful in terms of keeping things organized to have it all under one forum. 

I understand that the admins can't grant every "Ohh Oohh Make this a forum too!!11!" request, but there are a lot of people on these boards that enjoy talking about sports, whether it be football, baseball, disc golf, whatever.  I think it would be very worthwhile and would get a lot of traffic :thumbup:

That was my sales pitch.

m00nshine is currently vacationing in Maui. Rumor has it he got rolled by drunken natives and is currently prostituting himself in order to pay for airfare back to the mainland but he's having trouble juggling a hairon addiction. He won't be back for a long while.

It would be awesome if this were at least given some serious consideration by the admins. I think this forum would be a lot more popular than some of the forums that we currently have in place, and would really be a nice addition to the site in general.

Definetly. I think we almost NEED a sports forum, because various sports threads are harbouring in the pub, and god knows last nfl season OTD was rife with Steelers threads.

I see no reason we shouldnt have one, and a few we should. Admins, please?

I don't see why the admins are ok with us having a "Great Outdoors" forum, and a Culinary Forum, and other forums that get very little traffic...but a sports forum which is painfully logical to add is not ok?  :confused:

Although I do enjoy lurking those low traffic areas I believe sports would be a fantastic addition to shroomery since it provokes a large interest. I think a lot of people would agree with you

Perhaps you should make a poll in the pub and with enough response, perhaps it will make a stronger persuasion for your case.
