That's been done before too - the poll I mean.

I can't help but feel there's some admin bias against a sports forum or something.

It's true, I have absolutely no love for sports, unless I'm playing them myself, on a sunny day with the scent of freshly cut grass in the air.  :tongue2:

In fact, I don't think any of the admins are really involved with watching sports or participating in fantasy leagues - so that's probably why when this idea is suggested, we get the idea "hrmm.. well I don't really know anything about sports, I'll just let someone else field this one who does!"  Of course, when none of us have much of an interest in it, you can see how our logic fails to get anything implemented :wink:

I'd prefer this be a sub-forum, where would you want it placed?  My first suggestion would be OTD, since it seems that's where the majority of the sports-related conversation is taking place to begin with.

Do put it in OTD so that conversation there won't be hampered by silly Pub requirements.

Sports fans are some of the most vile creatures on Earth and they'll need ample room to curse, spit, etc. etc.

Id say OTD, simply because come football season we are plagued with steelers threads, amongst other nfl teams.

I wouldn't mind it being a subforum, but honestly it might be better off as it's own because there are so many subforums that could be OFF of a sports forum, ya know? 

If it has to be a subforum though, I wouldn't care if it was in the pub or OTD.  My only fear is that if it was in OTD it would be moderated as an OTD forum....I don't want random flames and stupid pictures (no offense guys  :wink:)  I'd rather it be serious sports talk...with some shit talking  :smirk: 

Either one though is fine.  :thumbup:

great idea liz!! when will we see this forum???  im tired of talking about sports in the pub and having no one say anything, most people in there dont like sports :frown: and i dont want this in OTD for reasons i dont need to explain... this needs to be its own forum...

I personally think "The great Outdoors" Would be a great subforum of a "Sport" forum.  Hiking/Camping can definitely be classified as a sports.  Just my opinion though...I don't really care too much where the forum ends up, as long as it's there and people post in it  :thumbup:

My suggestion would be OTD, although right now the most sports activity is in fantasy baseball which is pretty Pubber-dominated.

But frankly, sports is a topic that gets people angry - and an OTD subforum for sports would let us really rip into each other.  But we could have rules for it for shock pics and what not..
