Ever tried using foxfarm planting mix as a casing mix????
    #5438622 -

it Contains composted forest humus, sphagnum peat moss, earthworm castings, vermiculture compost (bedding material and manure), sandy loam, fossilized bat guano, granite dust, Norwegian kelp meal, dolomite lime and oyster shell (for pH adjustment).

i thought that if i added it 60/40 with vermiculite it should work awsome (after pasturization of course.)

have any of you tried this stuff out??????? what kind of results do you think one could get with this stuff???

i dont know what some of the pros would say about its efficiency, but i think it would make a really cool experiment.

if you decide to give it a try post your results

i think that i'll try it, but you might be right skeletor, so when i try it i'll cut it more with verm.

oh, yea i love the waxpaper thing. works like a charm, but for my WBS spawn i need some more nutes in a casing layer. i usually use hpoo on those, but i always hear of all of these extra nutes that the pros use, and i thought that the foxfarm planting mix sound like it has most of them. i dunno. i'll plst results soon if this works.
