I tried this whole poppyseed thing again recently, 2 pounds of seeds for two people...
We let the seeds soak in the recommended amount of water for just over an hour - about 45 minutes into it I noticed that the seeds had soaked up much of the water so that they seeds were no longer submerged, so I added another cup's worth.
The drink was not taste friendly. My effects were very minimal, so I guess the potency must change depending on the seeds you're using.

Would the morphine be ok if I gently boiled the solution down to about a cups worth of drink?

Morphine sulphate's boiling point is significantly higher than water's. Is it the sulphate that's in the seeds, and does this mean that boiling the amount of water down will not result in any loss of dissolved morphine?

If I completely evoparate the liquid will I be left with an edible powder?

Aww look at those tiny little poppies :smile:

Still, you were looking for bigass opium-oozing baseballsized beasts so "cute" poppies is the last thing you'd want.

Working the ground is key.

These poppies had to compete with a lot of weeds, got a tiny root system and few nutrients, and the result are cute narcotic crocuses.

If you work the ground and work some potting/garden soil into it and weed a bit you'll have big beauties!
