warning about cpoo
    #5410362 -

This is to the inexperienced (like me) who are maybe wondering...

Cpoo did NOT work for me. I was willing to experiment just to test it for myself and found out the hard way that I should've just listened to every one of our fellow Shroomerites to begin with.

I used 50/50 cpoo/straw and inoculated with one FULL syringe. After two weeks @ 80-82 degrees incubation I saw NO growth so I trashed it. Absolutely no growth.

So the past few days I have been gathering hpoo and drying it out, pasturizing it and impulse sealing it in spawn bags. I have a ton of it...and now I realize that it's the best way to go. Not to mention cleanest. Just save yourself the trouble and try to heed people's advice. But don't take my word for it.

You need to mix some kind of grain into your poo before inoculating, whether cow or horse. I've tried injecting spores into just h/poo and gotten the same results. Spores just don't seem to germinate well into dung alone.

Damn...I guess you're right FooManShroom. That was probably my problem. No grain. Oh well...hpoo seems MUCH easier to work with anyways. But I will definately mix some grain in my bags from now on.

Without a doubt h-poo is easier to work with, but cow poo does work!!!

I thkn you are mixing spawn substrate with bulk subtrate. Sounds like it failed on more than one level. Read more and better luck next time. I could get you a syringe of LC, but I have no empties.
