Round one, with photos

So here it is, my first try at a cake. Of 6, 1/2 pint cakes, 3 were contaminated, 2 didn't colonize at all, and one finally made it. It was inoculated with 2cc of Golden Teacher.
I played around with a few designs, but had to come up with something small when I realized I'd only be fruiting one cake.
Essentially, it's two identical bins put together, with adhesive window sealer foam on one of them to act as a seal, held together by two metal spring clamps.
Humidity is provided by 3 inches of standing water in the bottom chamber, with a 5 inch bubble wand, powered at both ends by a single 30 gallon air pump. This also provides fresh air, and gas exchange is provided via some cotton filled holes at the top of the chamber.
The fruiting bin is filled with moist perlite, and 8, 1/8th hole drilled in the bottom provide drainage of the perlite should it need it. The bin actually rests across the lower chamber bin, but becomes further pressure fit when the lid is put on.
A thermometer/hygrometer is located in the top chamber furthest away from the bubbler to give the most accurate reading of the minimum RH level.
Heat is provided above from a blue 25watt lightbulb resting (protected) just above the chamber.
It is all padlocked up in a big chest, with noise insulation inside to reduce...noise... The current readings are: 86 degrees F with 80% RH
Yesterday on a test without the lightbulb and window seal it was 73 F 91% RH. So, I will try removing the lightbulb, or have it on an automated on off cycle so it doesn't dry up the inside with heat.
This seems to be a nice little unit, and I'll make some diagrams and post them if anyone's interested. I've spent less than $20 on this whole setup, including some broken bits of experimentation.
Let me know if you think the cake is not fully colonized. I don't think it is, but it's been in there 4 weeks due to some poor quality spores. I didn't want to risk contamination, so I dropped it in just now. It's all white, so...at least that's good.
Critique me!
Should this fruit, how many days should it take before I see pinheads?

you should put the cake on a jar lid or piece of foil or somethin to get it off the perlite, imo

It's not good to rest on perlite? Why?
Also, should I go ahead an dunk this to begin the 1st flush? Or should I wait and see if it needs it?
Thanks all

Update!
After 12 hours in the chamber, my hygro reads a max setting of 95% RH, and the water is so thick that I can't see through to read it. Is there possibility of TOO much RH during pinning?
Also, With removal of the lightbulb, my temp is stable at ambient, which is 69' F. I'd like to bump that up.
I'm going to try and sneak the light back in the chest, perhaps on the other side, aiming at the "ceiling" to bounce down into the chamber. It would provide some ambient heat, but would not be too harsh.
Any answers to my questions from experienced growers would be greatly appreciated.
Peace
