fat and short shrooms

my friends is having problems with shrooms that are not growing, he says he has several that are short and fat and
are not growing anylonger...some of the rest of the shrooms
are growing properly.Anyone else know why this would happen...i think he is growing Eqs.

yeah, around here those are called fat asses. it occurs when there is either too much humidity or too much water in your substrate.
also, if the caps are changing color and the shroom is dying, is called an abhort..edible, but pick them right away.
