different smell in incubater

Just inoculated the jars yesterday and took the blanket off the top and there is a little smell coming out...Not a bad one, just a noticed one. And also for reassurance...Someone on here said dont tape holes during colonization...so i took it off...(I guess thats what the dry verm is for)...Anyone that can tell me nething, like if its normal and all? Thanks in Advance.

is your incubator airtight?
my first incubator was & i noticed a very strong grain smell.
