All American Pressure Cooker. Did I get shorted?
    #531117 - 01/25/02 02:56 PM (22 years, 1 month ago)

recently purchased an AA pressure cooker. It came in the mail, new, in the manufacturers box. I got the pc bottom, lid, and the aluminum peices that rest in the bottom. I didn't get a weight to put on the top hole, or any instructions. Should these have come with it, or do i have to purchase it separatly? please reply asap, as i want to contact the company if it should have come.

Should have come with a weight and directions. Contact the company you ordered from.

If it's a new all-american, there won't be a weight. Just a guage on one side, a toggle valve on the other side and a small button looking pressure relief valve towards the backside of the lid.

Should have come with directions at least. I have a brand new AA 930 and it still uses the weight and came with directions. I know some don't have the weight anymore, but DIRECTIONS are a must.

Sorry there, teonan, i guess it's the all-american sterilizers (which i have) that don't have the weight, so that they can form a vacuum when cool. Must be the all-american p. cookers that still have use the weight.

Yeah, they left out your instruction packet. I have a brand new 915, and the weight came in a yellow envelope INSIDE the instruction packet.

Shaw

Look closer at the styrafoam packaging. They like to tape it in a little whole. It is easy to overlook. Better check the garbage before pickup!!!

i got a 921. It came in the factory box with no styrofoam packing. Do they test them in the factory, because it has obviously been clamped down before, and there are water spots on it. I think i may have gotten a christmas return.
