I contacted Fungi Perfecti and asked them the same question that you are posing here and they told me that their all american pressure sterilizers could not be safely modified and that 30psi is way too high for them to handle. I live at about 9000 ft above sea level so I am very interested in an autoclave that can operate at a higher pressure. If you find out that you can modify your allamerican autoclave then please post it here or send me a piece of mail and let me know how it is done.

Pretty interesting, the website comes up empty for All American...as in no files on the site anymore...

fired off emails to retailers online and see if they have the information...

found the pic of one of the replacement gauges, this one is not like mine and has higher readings it looks like.
