concerns big time

hi i have 5 brf jars in a tit in my bedroom they have been in there only a day i noticed a smell coming from the tub that was like varnish yesterday the smell seems much worse today i checked the jars and there seems to only have a slight covering on the bottom of the jars i am leaning towards throwing them all out after reading through posts on these matters any thoughts would be greatly appreiciated thanks

Smells like varnish?? Umm, if i were u, make sure theres nothing wrong with ur heater, and/or the heater affecting the plastic of the tubs. I THINK contam would have more of an organic smell than a chemical "varnish" smell. Im not experienced in this, but that would be my first guess from the description of the smell.

I would have to agree...don't throw out your jars until you SEE the contams. Heat source is probably the culprit.
