could poor syringes be the culprit?
    #2692766 - 05/17/04 08:46 PM (13 years, 13 days ago)

Can poor syringes be causing slow growths in general? The syringes my friend got were almost clear and really couldn't see anything in them. The first time that he used them (B+) it took a very long time to fully colonize his BRF cakes, (and some of them never even showed a sign of anything) he has since moved on to WBS and casings, but the WBS also took a very long time to colonize, while some still did nothing. He uses a tub in tub at 86F and he put tin foil over the tops of them (1/2 pint jars) so they should receive air exchange. Could the syringes be the culprit? Oh, when he used grains he used the equador strain (also from Sporeworks).

I guess that really would only matter to the amount of contaminated jars he had next to what it would be if he had used "tyvec or pollyfill"!
I've used tinfoil before and it worked fine!
