Tolerance

My tolerance is being tested.
It's harder than I thought to love all human life equally... At school especially, I view so many people who are drifting in a sea of sleep. Deep down, they all want to wake up, but they are afraid of the consequences.
Example: i'll be at school and someone (usually a gangster wannabee) will approach me with something to say like "Were you staring at my girlfriend, bitch?" or "You need to cut your hair, you look like a girl", etc etc... Now I try to understand where these people's fear-driven actions come from, but sometimes it really pushes the limit. I rarely experience the emotion of rage or violence, but it has creeped up on me a few times in the past few weeks.
I feel like im an old person viewing children playing children's games. But this is not to say that the ignorant are any better, because at one point we ALL were ignorant.
The wise man is tolerant and helpful, the ignorant man is destructive and afraid.
Forgive me for my mistakes on the road to wisdom, my friends :smile:

Well if you're getting that a lot you may very well need to cut your hair because you look like a girl...and were you staring at their girlfriend because that has a tendency to piss people off.

Well if it pisses people off so much then maybe people should try and find ugly significant others. I mean seriously though, If you have an attractive girlfriend then expect her to get checked out while other males are in the room. Its mostly because these pseudo-thugs cant see past the negative vibes their music is feeding them. How often do you see ravers trying to get in fights for no reason? How often do you see goths getting in fights for no reason? Compare these instances to how many times you have seen hip hoppers/rappers get into fights for no reason. (There probably is a reason but its probably something like the example givin above "why are you looking at my girlfriend?")
