plz help

i have just found some mushrooms and need some help iding them
they are very small but seem to be mature bcuz some are dying.I picked one and it is 1 inch tall.the cap is about 1/2 inch wide.cap is light to dark brown,kinda wavy and goes up like an inside out umbrella. stem is about 3/4 of an inch long and a reddish, brownish color. found in socal growing in wet(maybe fertilized) soil with moss or green algae. brusing looks kind of black hard to tell bcuz of its reddish stem.gills are attached to the stem.i am waiting for the spore print to be done.sorry but i dont have any pics of it.

Sounds like a little brown mushroom. Could be alot of things.
