Hey, help me out here. You may have discovered the wonders of www.youtube.com already. The videos on this site play with Flash. I wonder if anyone here has figured out how to download these videos, rather than just view them. I've found some pretty interesting videos such as......

Beatles videos

Pink Floyd videos

Doors videos

Bob Marley videos

Jerry Garcia videos

Grateful Dead videos

Jimi Hendrix videos

Hunter S. Thompson videos

Timothy Leary videos

You guys can stop searching the net looking for the answer to my question. I've found it and put together some instructions to help you do it too. Hopefully they're clear enough. Just ask if you need help......



1) Keep this link handy for #5 below: http://youtube.com/get_video.php?l=165&video_id=
2) Go to the screen where you watch a video on youtube.com
3) Scroll down to where it says "Video URL (Permalink)"
4) Copy what's AFTER "http://www.youtube.com/?v="
5) Put the address from #1 and #4 together in order. It will look something like this: http://youtube.com/get_video.php?l=165&video_id=20WC2GcTQoI
6) Download the file. It will be called "Get Video"
7) Add the .flv file extension to the end of that file name (get video.flv)
8) Download CinemaForge and then convert the file! (Make sure you convert it to .avi because I can't fast forward when I make it a .wmv
