My soul has gone cold

I've been living in ghettos all my life and have seen too much and done too much and I can feel myself slipping away. I need spiritual guidance.

Let the  :mushroom2: guide you. Solo trips in nature are best for this. As you increase the dosage over time you my find that the  :mushroom2: are stimulating you to open up to the self guidance you are looking for. You have everything you need inside you. It is easily lost in the cultural program that you are operating from IMO.

I felt that way right after Katrina. I'm from New Orleans. After imagining all our shit slipping away my wife and I said, "At least we have each other." Then a month of laying out on the beach in Cali while we were evacuated. Watching the sun while sitting in the warm sand with the surf nestling me against her bosom. I would gring the composite world down in my mind and say, "What's left?" I felt that the world had stopped so I started lurking truely right in the present. I still lurk in the present. I tried to work for three months cooking Uptown. My heart wasn't in it. Instead I'm on self-imposed retreat to meditate, think, get fucked up, and study a new career. I suggest you study my advice which is that of the highest philosophies of life. And that is, come here to the present and go no where elsewhere. The mind will get caught up in plans (which never work really so much) - a million a minute, but then if you can cut through the imaginary and stick to the real then you will see more of the reality that you have to work with. Then as Castaneda says, "Wait for your will." After a time of lurking the circumstance will arise which suit your mind better, because you didn't try to make them, they simply just truely just are.

MDMA therapy. In nature as Icelander suggested or in a darkened room with easy listening music in the back. If it's good for PTSD in soldiers it will be good for you.

I can't agree with turning to drugs for guidance.

I think guidance comes from within. It's different for everyone and you need to find what works for you. Shift your focus from what's around you to what's inside of you. The world is full of hate and evil, but you can choose to let it bother you. Life is wonder, and if you let it it can amaze, enlighten and bring joy to you every day.

I'm interested in what you think the benefit of  :mushroom2: are then, and why you post at a web site dedicated to the informed use of psychedelics?

been there, I've done so much dirt, fucked alot of people over, from friends to family, went to jail, lie cheat and steal were regular things for me. JUst remember shit gets better. Look deep inside yourself and you'll get over it. I personally moved away from all of it. A few weeks ago 3 kids I grew up with were shot in the alley behind my old house. Shit like that happens in this world, especially if you are poor. You'll get through it dude. Just look inside yourself and you'll find the means to get through it all.

Well, straight up I don't do mushrooms anymore.  Not for a few years anyway. 

I post here because I've spent a few years during which time I've had my fair share of trips and grow logs and now I enjoy giving back what I can.  This board, although dedicated to mushrooms, also encompasses a vast variety of people and interests which I enjoy. 

I don't regret experimenting with mushrooms and I did have a few revelations, of sorts, while high. 

The reason I don't endorse using mushrooms to find happiness is the same reason I wouldn't suggest drinking away your sorrows - it becomes a problem.  It creates a dependence on an altered mind state to deal with these issues. 

And mostly why I'd say it's a bad idea is that I've NEVER had a good trip when I've dosed while feeling down or depressed.  All I've taken away from trips like that is an appreciation for life and sobriety.  The feelings still remained. 


As always to each their own.  What works for me may not work for another.

Drinking or using certain drugs to dull your emotions and ease your pain is something completely different than using Psychedelics to enter your pain, fully relive it and then let it go or transcend it altogether. But as you said, to each their own.

lol. Sorry to laugh, but you need to realize that playing with shit that you don't understand is a good way to get yourself even more confused and messed up.

I know something about this stuff. I gained an understanding of chakra energy and balancing my body. I know that it all factors in when you gain an awareness of your senses and movements. After months of expirementation, I beleive that I've found some true practices to help me. The idea of the 4 winds from tai chi help. The idea of chakras help. Just don't mess with it.. like don't sit there and think "ok time to surge energy from here to here to here and do this that and the other". Beleive me, bro. You will end up paying for it. You need to meditate and let stuff happen on its own. You need to exercise and push yourself and hold onto the awareness that you gain. But don't go and practice all that necromancer stuff because it's NOT the same. Why do you think shaolin monks don't do that? It's not safe to play games with nature's mind. I know this for a fact.

The power you speak of is the same power that everyone has to a certain degree. You don't need to be psycho man about it. Just look at life and smile and you'll be ok no matter if other people sense it or not. If you're all twisted up and have weird energy, people will know it and fear you. Don't try to be the dominant role all the time and don't try to be the victim either. Just treat others like you would like to be treated.
