It's not about money or the time involved to delete a post history, it's about the principle of keeping our communal history intact in conjunction with a pinch of self-responsibility. I do however understand your concern about people digging through your self-proclaimed reckless past while you are trying to integrate yourself into a professional career. So as a compromise, I would be happy to rename your account to that of your choosing (which you may PM to me), and subsequently remove this thread. Therefore, if you have used your current alias elsewhere and people attempt to link it to this site, it simply won't happen since all username identifiers in our database will have changed to something less conspicuous.

PS. Mods do not have the appropriate BB permissions to go into user accounts (ie. read your PM's)

Well, it's not really about this specific account; ironically, this is the only place on the entire internet that i've used the handle "Toadie."
It's quite specific to this place alone. Renaming the account with prove fruitless to either of us.

The only concern i have is that i have posted my name, not to mention many pictures of myself in conjunction with my comments.
There's a whole ton of things that could be specifically connected to me in real life. This is my concern.

I know you want to preserve your history and such, which is understandable, but i didn't learn of the OTD archive until only recently in the last year. I thought all OTD posts were deleted periodically as stated.
"Due to minimal staff presence, threads will expire after 45 days of inactivity."

The only problem i have are the posts within the archive. All of them are from a specifically bad time of my life and i'd really like them to be deleted. Anything posted within the last year or so doesn't really matter that much.

So what exactly is the difference between staying and leaving? The posts you want deleted are up regardless. If somebody wanted to connect you to something badly enough they would whether you are still posting here or not. :crazy2: You're not a bad guy but you are making no sense.

It's not silly. The admins have deleted entire post histories before and it results in fucked up threads. They have reasons for not deleting accounts anymore.
If you are so concerned about it, go back and edit your own posts, and/or have them change your username, and leave.
