Salvia extraction with denatured alcohol.............help

I'm attempting to make a salvia extract right now with denatured alcohol.......i found the tutorial on erowid but it seems to vague...should i repeat the wash with more denatured alcohol a couple times? anything that you could add to this would help me greatly......... here is what I'm following

Denatured Alcohol :

Take approximately 30 dried leaves and crush them by hand.
Put them in a mason jar soaking in 1/2 cup of denatured alcohol.
Let soak for 2 hours.
Decant (pour off) the alcohol into a small non-aluminum dish.
Add about 5 dried crushed leaves.
Set a fan to blow over the dish to speed the evaporation process.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
Turn oven off and place dish inside the oven while it's still hot.
The small amount of water absorbed by the alcohol should dry within about 15 minutes.
Scrape all material from the dish with a razor blade (that's why you're not using an aluminum dish).
Smoke with care.

this recipe is a single soak 2 hr recipe.
you might get 10 % more by doing it twice.
go with the existing recipe for 6 x and see if you want to intensify it or if you want to get more serious.

I prefer acetone as a solvent but never put it near an oven. or flame or spark. I do double soak.

tend to follow spere's extractions.

I agree with RGV... denatured alcohol is not the solvent of choice for things that might be ingested. Acetone (preferably reagent grade) would be a safer choice, imho.
