No it's probably just the skin that glows. I also expect it would have to be living to work (dead fireflies don't glow).

I thin that they glow through AND THROUGH, it was introduced in the bmbryotic stage and the cells will probab;y be biased now.  i can't see how certain cells would reject it and onbly the skin cells adapt to it, especially at that early in the cell division process. :shrug:
