Exactly man. You're learning the lesson that its not all about you man. There ARE other people out there. And they do affect you, even if you don't realize it Its just a lesson, man. When its a lesson with a bunch of pain, just realize you're taking a big step into the person you're going to become. Just appreciate the goodtimes, and NEVER pass up an oppurtunity to see them again. Its a painful mistake I made, but I learned.

We all get like that...hell, I have been plenty of times.

Eventhough, right now it seems like it will never get better...it will. It just takes time. You're still in shock right now. It'll get better.

Sorry to hear about this bro. It's hard to lose such a good friend. On the bright side, you've now got a place to crash on the other side of the world.

ive felt just like that for pretty much the last 4 months solid. Shit with my ex-fiance kinda went sour recently, i found out 2 days ago she got married to one of my good friends.

I was completly devestated. After i found out i got so drunk,It didnt hit me till the next day. Now im still kinda in a stupor.

It sux man. Separation from someone you care about is tough. Just find something that is important to you and pursue that. Id be freakin crazy right now if i didnt have my music.

Yea, just don't think about it. As bad as that might sound...it works. Keep your mind busy, and it'll eventually fade.

Wow, think of how fortunate you've been.  You had a friendship and a family relationship that few other people will EVER be able to comprehend.  You had a second home, a place you could always go to if you need it.  A friend, who stuck with you through thick and thin, for over a DECADE.

Think of how that altered you as an individual.  Think of how that 14 years of friendship may have defined you as a human being, who you are today.

The impact must have been COLLASSAL.

So cherish the importance he had in making you who you are.  That's never going to change, EVER.  You'll always carry the imprint of your friend upon your very LIFE.  Those experiences are never going away.  If you think of it this way, you and your friend will die together.

It's normal to feel a sense of loss, a sense of "OMG what am I gonna do now that everything;s changed!" but you'll find that you'll change along with it.  You'll adapt.

And so will he.   We cross paths with many during our lives.  Nobody will ever replace your friend, but his absence opens you up to possiblities you haven't yet imagined for yourself.

Good luck... sorry things are rough!
