Bird Seed and fungiside

so i used some mijer brand wbs and it didn't work at all, i had to scrap the hole project set me back like 2 months cause its my first grow, but what my real question is ...

1. would they really put fungiside in bird seed? i mean who would want to feed there birds fungiside?

and 2. if there were fungisides in the wbs would it have to say it on the package or not?

It should say somewhere on the package. I have no Idea why They feed It To birds.lol.

it should say on the package.. were did you get your spores from?? and what was your setup & specs for your grow??

lol i don't want to get in to my specs but i just want to know if there are any laws or fda regulations for marking the wbs package or if anyone has had experiance with fungiside on there wbs

There is only a very small chance your birdseed had fungiside in it alot of fungicides can kill birds. I have only ever heard of fungicide on wbs when it wasnt realy wbs in which case the sead had capstan on it which is a fungicide used on seeds for planting.

There are many things that could have gone wrong. Too much water, not enough water, bacteria, other contamns, temperature, amount of spore solution used, etc. etc. Its much more likely that something went wrong in your prep as this is your first grow. and I get my birdseed at a local grociery store in the bulk foods bins $.24 a pound cant beat the price and it works great.

They use fungicide on wbs for the same reasons they use it on tomatoes, corn, onions and most other crops intended for humans or other animals.

The fungicide simply prevents spore germination. It will not harm established fungus. You need to use other than spores to inouclate the wbs if fungicides are an issue in your area.
