constant is ideal, but i have had success with some temp fluctuations during incubation.

well if they fluctuate you are going out of optimum but, that does not mean you will kill your mushies.

in the past it did not seem to matter much. it is a living thing and they at 1 point in time were out side where temps fluctuate allot.

so to answer your question, not very important long as you are not talking to drastic of a shift.

I have temperature fluctuations on my colonizing jars and they are colonizing very well!
