H2O2 in substrate

Can H2O2 in the substrate prevent contams? If so, how much?

yes, it can help prevent contaminents but it also can damage the mycilium. if you really want to use h2o2 just mix 10 parts water 1 part h2o2 in a spray bottle and spray the shit once a day with it. i wouldnt spray the h2o2 sollution everytime though. if you humidify 2-3 times a day, just use the solution once. if you like neglect (like me) id use the h2o2 solution once every three days. but im a shit eater.

In the proper concentration, it will kill bacteria, mold and FUNGUS spores. It will not kill already established mold colonies. If using H2O2 in your substrate, you must innoculate using established mycelium(multispore innoc will mot work!). The H2O2 also must be added after the substrate has cooled, since the higher temperatures of pasteurisation/ sterilisation will decompose the H2O2. As for the proper concentration to substrate, I don't have my references readily available. Maybe someone else can answer...

h2o2 might not be able to stop mold colonies, but it sure as hell slows it down. i just wouldnt completely depend on h2o2 preventing contamination.
