Ammount of rain needed for fruits?
    #5148468 -

well i live in northern california and in my town i had been scouting area's that would prove to have mushies pop up. just my luck, after scouting for 2 days during the rain (with no succesful finds but i wasnt expecting any, just looking for area's that might yeild some in the future), it stops raining. by then i couldnt go walking due to school starting up.

i go today, 3 days after the rain had stopped, and find a ton of mushrooms, sadly all dried out and decaying.

my question is:
there is supposed to be relatively high humidity + 40-50?f weather tonight and a light morning shower tommorow. would this small ammount of rain and humidity be enough to rehydrate the ground and have any significant mushroom growth?

It seems that the dew point has been hit all week following the rains. It your spots are well shaded and the habitat is right, there is a good chance that you'll find some mushrooms growing there.

Those conditions seem good enough to me.. It is all about just going out and giving it a shot. Eventually, after finding what you are looking for, you should be able to know when to expect them easily.
