Add edit pictures option for thread starter

So if you start a thread and someone posts a disgusting pic in it the person that had their thread goofed up can delete the pic. It would be a nice feature.

I see where your coming from, but think about it man. Now EVERY asshole that starts a thread has the power to delete anything contrary to his opinion. This would effectively put an end to free conversation at the Shroomery. Bad idea. Very bad idea.

I think that a moderator can edit it out.

Some people may not like that idea, but if we're talking Mushroom Cultivation, then it's unnecessary.

But the very backbone of OTD is porn.

Moderators don't edit anything in OTD... No way would they edit out tasteless off topic porn. Sometimes lamers will go in about 10 threads in a row and post some lame gross pic. It serves no purpose except to lower the common denominator of the forum. The person that starts a thread should be able to stop pictures that lower the quality of the thread like that. And I'm not talking about editing speech, just graphic disturbing pictures that the topic starter doesn't like.

The backbone of OTD is discussion, not vomit/anus picures, in my not so humble opinion.

Rereading my previous post, I really didn't express my idea well.

In most "serious" forums, the moderator should be able to do it on request.

In a non "serious" forum (OTD comes to mind), let it go. Ignore it.
