Moving to Canada

I want to move there because of tolerant pot laws and a change of scenery. I'd move to British Columbia and stay somewhere in Vancouver. Is it hard to get an apartment or a house being a non-resident?

There are lots of suburbs around it you could easily find an apartment in.

Vancouver is pretty expensive to live in.

i'm down to spend some $$ on rent, couldn't be higher than california.

Try moving to Surrey, lot's of cheap housing & it's very easy to score crack (or so I hear).

In the city of Vancouver, petty crimes (muggings, break-ins, etc...) are very prevelant.

Try moving anywhere else in Canada....then you get to deal with snow and REAL cold, not that uber-mild weather you guys get out on the west coast :smirk:

hahahahaa... it's illegal to posess pot in canada, even more so to grow it
dont let the hippie canadian 'legal pot' crap fool you, people are frequently
arrested for it

the laws are quite similar to in the US, it's a fine for posession of less than an
ounce in most states, no jail time, in excess of an ouce it's a criminal charge
and usualy a couple years on probation, dor distribution or cultivation, it's a
criminal charge, it rings tru in both countries, I've walked away without
posession charges several times heer, many others have as well

whats the difference in canada and the US regarding pot posession?
there isnt one
