I'm always reading the trip reports on here, and I must say I've seen some beautifully written reports that actually make me feel as if I'm tripping along with them and some reports that were...not-so-well. 

But, since pictures and such on here get certain awards.  Why not the actual trip, itself?

Just something I was brainstorming... :smirk:

Hell yes!  :congrats:  I think this kind of feature would be great to have in the Trip Reports board!  It would give an incentive to actually write something beyond just a "I ate Xg of shrooms, got some visuals, and had a great/terrible time."  C'mon people, it's a chance to verbally qualify one of the most intense, profound experiences available to OUR ENTIRE SPECIES!!!  You can be a little more creative than that! :hulk:

I think it's a great Idea.... I think a well writin trip report is a great tool for others to help grow on there own trips.

Trouble is.... A really good trip report is at least a few minutes of reading.... How many people are gonna read threw ALL the trip reports??

That's why I was thinking that the nominations for the best report will be very few since not many people read through it all.

well maybe a quality of a trip report should be length, or enthrallingness (i made a word!)
i often find when reading through trip reports i rarely finish unless it is interesting

sounds like a good idea to me. only thing is the people who just arnt that great at writing might be discouraged from writing a trip report at all.
