I did a search and everyone has a theory.. no one has an actual clue it seems...meaning no one has an actual teck on doing so.....

Someone said add it after you boil while it is still hot. Let it soak till the wort is cool enough to put in the vessel with the yeast. That sounds like a good idea to me!!!

Cant you put mushrooms in absinth as making it same with weed,lsd,lsa,dmt products and other things

Do not attempt this at home or amatter fact anywhere.

Some mushrooms are quite tasty, I imagine they would make excellent beer.

If you made it from cubes or those supermarket mushrooms it would probably suck though.

And you would need some grains too, otherwise it wouldn't really be beer, right?

I had a dream about this. I was dumpster diving and came a across a large box containing bottles of vintage wine. A couple bottles contained a blue liquid and had pictures of mushrooms and beehives on their labels. I was unbelievably disappointed upon awaking to the realization this was just a dream. Wish I could say I have been working to perfect a recipe but the a-motivational syndrome has been somewhat problematic in this regard. In my estimation nothing would compare as a drink for wild spring evening?s as such a concoction. Artemisia would have nothing on Psilocybe.

Im going to make some any way......I figure a mushroom tinciture flavored with something to slightly mask the flavor of the mushroom. Maybe use a brandy/everclear solution and maserate the mushrooms for a week in the cubbord. Make the beer as normal, eather a porter or a stout and add it after the fermentation. Eather that or break out a garduated cilinder and do some calculations and add a couple milleleters to each bottle. Im not looking for a trippy beer just a mellow technocolored beer.....like .7 a beer. Azzies are the addition so maybe .5 or .4 a beer. An ounce or just shy of that for 5 gallons if my ballpark quick math is on track.....

you think the psilo compound would hold up through fermentation? I don't... Maybe if it was added after the beer was done but I still think the end product would taste like absolute crap... I think raw mushie taste nasty, much less mushie flavor in an alcoholic liquid.

I drink beer after the peak of the shrooms and orange juice, but put together, you might get sick..the combonation does not sound right at all.
Mushroom Tea, or Mushroom chocolate sounds a lot better of a combonation.

the fermentation process has to be VERY Sterile...I would not throw fungus in the mix

too much heat will destroy the potency of the mushrooms, it would be like smoking mushrooms...no effect. Well so I heard anyway, I heard if you smoked them it would be a waste, so I never tried anyway.

I hear what your saying but did you get what i was saying about soaking the mushrooms in everclear or brandy? I think that would disenfect them thouroughly.. I wouldnt add the mushrooms to the batch at all this way.....
