After Casing - No signs of mycelium after 1 week..

Allright, I decided to try out the 50/50+ casing - I had 12 fully colonized regular 1/2 pint jars which I removed and cut into approx. 1.5" slices. I laid these out and made 2 nice casing trays. I used an inch of the substrate on the bottom, and a bit more for the top. This was a week ago. The casings are in a HIGH Co2 environment set at 80 degrees, 90 % humidity, NO LIGHT. I would imagine that after a week the mycelium would have started showing up by now - but to no avail. What could possibly going on. Is there such a thing as a "TOO colonized cake"? Ie. no more mycelium growth? Never had problems before. Should I just wait it out? Gimme some advice....please.

Maybe try crumbling them instead, and mix well with the substrate...not an expert...but it might work...cheers
