I wouldn't advise using the corncob tek. I tried it and was met with disasterous results. It became quickly contamanated with bacteria followed by some sort of dark mold. The corncob doesn't absorb water very well, and what water did absorb was evaporated then pooled on the bottom of the contanier. I would suggested using Timothy Hay Cobb. Works very well.

Corn Cob was all the reage for a short time. Until people realized you coulnt fruit on it. Corn cob just doesnt have the nutrients mushrooms need. You can use corncob to innoculate large batches of other substrates like straw, but by itself it will not fruit. If you make up a batch of corn cob mycellium slurry, add it to a few gallons of straw, allow that to colonize, then case it.
