That Pennington's brand bird seed has a vitamin coating on it called "Bird-Kote" I know what Dethed's tek says. I wanted to know if that stuff will help or hurt a crop...

Look around and see if you can find "Wagners". It has no coating or preservatives of any kind.

All I know is that I have rinsed Penningtons BS twice before steeping it, rinsed it again after steeping it. Let it drip dry overnight, and still gotten GOO! Freinds are thinking of using a lower incubatin temp to see if that helps. Let me know if you think of anything. I wonder how micron does this without the goo. It sucks. I have lost strains due to this and the fact I put all my eggs in one basket
