The Chakras...
    #486627 - 12/10/01 09:43 PM (22 years, 3 months ago)

*-------
The First Chakra - Muladhara
Location: base of spine
Element: Earth
Sound: Lam
Sense: Smell
Sensory Organ: nose
Number of Petals: four
Color: Red

The first chakra is the foundation of the entire chakra system. It has
manifested as a dense, cohesive, solid vibratory pattern that creates the
structure of the physical being. Without a strong foundation, no structure
can survive for any length of time. First chakra energy is content in its
density and does not seek change or movement into another form.

First chakra energy keeps an individual grounded and attatched to her roots.
It represents an individual's core connection with life, and the earth.

*-------
The Second Chakra - Svadhishtan
Location: between the navel and genitals
Element: water
Sound: Vam
Sense: taste
Sensory Organ: tongue
Number of Petals: six
Color: Orange

The second chakra is the creative center of the entire chakra system. Its
vibration enhances the creative energy circulating throughout the body.
It manifests as a free-flowing pattern of energy that gives the physical
being pleasure.

The human body has a natural inward and outward flow of energy. The outward
flow of energy begins at the central core of the chakras and vibrates
outward to the aura, the electromagnetic field that surrounds the body. The
inward flow of energy vibrates from the aura to the central core.

*-------
The Third Chakra - Manipura
Location: at the navel center (solar plexus)
Element: fire
Sound: Ram
Sense: sight
Sensory Organ: eyes
Number of Petals: ten
Color: Yellow

The third chakra creates heat for the entire chakra system. The subtle energy
of the third chakra wants to expand to the outer linits of the container holding
it, whether that container is the human body or the universe. As fire energy moves, it creates friction and heat. Fire energy is the source of energy for all of
creation, and it is responsible for manifesting the devine energy into form.
Without fire energy, nothing would exist on the physical plane.

Fire energy provides the individual with the energy to accomplish all the things
he desires. It travels up to the brain to give it energy to create thoughts and
ideas. Without fire energy, there would be no action.

*-------
The Fourth Chakra - Anahata
Location: chest
Element: air
Sound: Yam
Sense: touch
Sensory Organ: skin
Number of Petals: twelve
Color: Green

The fourth chakra represents an individual's abilities to connect to universal
love energy and to feel compasion. (my aura usually turns green when i smoke weed )
Feeling love in a pure universal way greatly enhances the ability to connect to the
spirit. By feeling love, a person transcends all negative energy and becomes one with
all things and beings. Love is the energy that makes life worthwhile.

The fourth chakra represents and individual's connection to air energy. Air energy
moves very fast and likes to jump from stimuli to stimuli. It wants to connect with
new energy and have new experiences. Air energy is light, and carries the life force
energy that sustains each person. No one can live without air. If our actions bring
destruction to the air, we destroy ourselves.

*-------
The Fifth Chakra - Vishuddha
Location: the throat
Element: ether
Sound: Ham
Sense: sound
Sensory Organ: ears
Number of Petals: sixteen
Color: light Blue

The fifth chakra creates space for the manifestation of all the physical elements.
The fifth chakra is the master chakra. When the human body determines that it needs
more of one element or less of another to maintain its homeostasis, the elements
shift from one to another via the fifth chakra. The fifth chakra is the neutral
zone, it provides the energy space in which elements transmute. All elemental
changes that are required by the body occur through the ether chakra.

The mind controls the ether chakra, and the ether chakra controls the physical
body. That is why ether is said to be the bridge between the higher, spiritual
sixth and seventh chakras, and the lower, physical chakras. The ability to
communicate is centered at the ether chakra, where speech originates.

*-------
The Sixth Chakra - Ajna
Location: middle of the forehead
Element: light
Sound: Om
Sense: thinking
Sensory Organ: mind
Number of Petals: sixteen
Color: deep blue, indigo

The sixth chakra is often called 'the mind's eye' because it controls the
perception and assimilation of light and color. The sixth chakra vibrates at
such a high degree that it transcends the quality of time. The individual who
has gained mastery of the sixth chakra can energetically travel into the past
and future in order to access information from past lives and obtain new
awareness about the present.

Sixth chakra energy is beyond the physical dimensions of the of the five
lower chakras. The easiest way to get in touch with the sixth chakra energy
is through the intuitive process. Once the individual's intuition is
activated, she will be able to see the human aura as different colors, which
represent different energies and qualities of the body.

*-------
The Seventh Chakra - Sahasrara
Location: top of the head
Element: super-consciousness
Sound: Aum
Sense: spirit
Sensory Organ: brain
Number of Petals: 960 outer, 12 inner
Color: center- white and gold, outer- chromatic

The seventh chakra is the master of the chakra system, responsible for the well
being of the individual's physical body and spiritual soul. It represents the
pure universal consciousness that resides within the body. The vibration of the
seventh chakra is moving so fast it manifests as pure spirit. The seventh chakra
has been described as the seat of super-consiousness. All emotions, physical
elements, thoughts, and vibrations merge with the universal energy into one form.
Within the seventh chakra, there is no seperation, classification, or
categorization of energy; all is one.

The energy of the seventh chakra represents the individual's cosmic link to the
universal consciousness. It is so subtle that the only way to become aware of this
energy is to cultivate the qualities of love, hope, charity, peace, joy, and
inspiration.

Awareness of the seventh chakra brings freedom to the soul. The seventh chakra's
energy is not limited by the physical laws of nature. It operates by the
spiritual laws of the universe - cultivating love, compassion, faith, hope,
inspiration, aspiration, intuition, truth, and all-knowledge. When a person
lives life through spiritual laws, a complete state of union with all things
and a continuous feeling of bliss are achieved. All karma is resolved, and she
can consiously leave the physical body, and merge with spirit anytime she desires.

Couple corrections..

The 4th Chakra has 12 petals, not 16
The 5th Chakra has 16 petals
The 6th Chakra has 96 petals
And the 7th Chakra has 960 outer-petals, and 12 in the center. The center is white and gold and the outer edge is chromatic

Other than that...looks good Smack!

Last night I had an experience that closely resembled what I've read about chakra's opening. My roommate wasn't home and I was in a relatively relaxed mood, so I tried to blank my mind and then concentrate on the patterns that you get on the insides of your eyelids (as per your meditation post a while back shroomism)... I eventually reached a half dream/half awake state where I wasn't really aware that I was thinking (although I was), and then for whatever reason it felt like something in my abdomen/pelvis area just opened up, and energy and the like flowed through and over me. After about 30 or so seconds it just clicked off, and I was left feeling calm but energized and clean.

Was very cool. I definitely intend to try it further after I'm out of exam time (and thus stress).

Try this:

For best results do this outside on the ground.
Sit down, close your eyes, and start a series of three inhalations and exhalations. Inhale Light through the top of your head and down into your body. Exhale all of the stress and worries you have, down through your feet and on down to the earth for about one minute.

Place your left hand, palm up, on your left thigh. Your right hand should touch the area one or two inches below your navel. (This is an energy vortex.)

Ask the Earth Angels to come to activate this vortex center for you. Stay in this area for about four minutes. You should feel a slight pulling sensation or some type of movement activity. Once it has settled down move to the next..

Move your right hand up one or two inches above the navel (another energy vortex) and ask the Earth Angels to activate that area for you. Keep your hand there for about five minutes.

Now place a hand, palm up, on each thigh and ask the Earth Angels to send a confirmation that you have been activated. Wait about two minutes to receive it.

Now you have been activated. You are ready to actively participate in clearing and balancing your chakra system. You are asked to stay attuned to learn other ways to help Mother Earth and the population. Enjoy your continued spiritual growth and evolution in helping mankind through these changes.

Chakras do indeed exist. There are many human names for what is perceived to be a biophysical connection to the spirit. These connections exist in that the soul, or spirit, is immersed in the physical body and mingles throughout. An incarnation is not a superficial matter. During an Out-Of-Body experience the soul separates from the physical body, and the human left behind is quiescent, as though without emotion or much thought. This is a time spent quietly contemplating or doing mundane tasks. As the soul, during incarnation, is diffused throughout the body, it aligns itself to embrace the world. The soul communicates with its extensions, the human arms and legs, as this is not a natural position for the soul. Incarnations in life forms that do not have arms and legs would, understandably, have different Chakras.

The Chakras are related to the functions of the incarnated spirit, not to the human form. The spirit centers itself, and thus the heart Chakra, and concerns itself with communicating to the mind, and thus the third eye, but the other organs of the human body are incidental to the spirit, which is not concerned with digestion or locomotion or such functions. Spirits that are more entranced with physical activities, such as sex or drug use, may be more diffuse within the physical body, however. A central Chakra, both in the human body and in Chakra action, is the heart Chakra. There are several reasons for this. First, the heart is centralized in the human body in order to serve the body well in its task as circulation central. Second, the heart responds to emotions, invariably, beating fast during fright or joy, being regular or irregular in pace with the life situation. Third, the spiritual centering of the soul within the physical body of a human must for similar reasons be centered. As the soul fills the being of whatever it incarnates, it is distended into the human limbs and digits. To work as a unit, the soul indeed utilizes parts of itself to maintain unity and cohesive action. The heart Chakra, while not circulating fluids, has a similar importance and function.

Funny how everyone agrees that we have two arms and two legs, but the number of chakras varies from 5 to infinite depending on the religious tradition.

If they were indeed real, why the great variety in numbers? Why no world-wide agreement?

The proof is in the pudding.

Chakras are vortices through which energy flows both in and out of the body. When developed, they rotate like a spinning wheel. Most literature focuses on the seven main chakras, but we actually have hundreds, located all over the body. Each accupressure and accupuncture point is an energy vortex and therefore a chakra.
The energy that powers the chakras comes from several sources, one being the Kundalini Energy which flows through us like a coiled serpant, another being the spiritual force within us. These energies come from within the body and flow outward.
We also recieve energy into the chakras from external sources. We can recieve energy from others, in which we may feel bombarded, others can also pull our energy, in which we may feel "sapped" in that particular chakra.
Those who are less developed in their evolutionary growth tend to bring in much more energy than they put out. Those who feel weak, depleted, or have a low self-image may be very strongly effected by others' energies, actually drawing on their energy. The act of pulling energy from another person may make the difference in healing and give the strength to go ahead.
Giving energy to another person strengthens us, when energy is pulled or sucked from us, we can be weakened. There are people who habitually suck energy from others rather than develop their own.
Evolved people have more energy flowing out of their chakras than in. Their chakras look like flowers in bloom.
Our growth and development in this age is increasing at a rapid pace. We constantly go through many different moods and way of being, relating to different chakras in the process. During cleansing of the chakras, you will find fears or problems in your life, and previous lives, which had been blocked. You may also find joy or wonderful times which were not assimilated and were not released into the body cells, also blocked. The purpose of Chakra work is to clear them of both these negative and positive energies, and to develop them.
