coco coir question
    #486937 - 12/11/01 02:44 AM (22 years, 3 months ago)

A person I know just cased two pints of brf substrate. Used a half inch verm. bottom layer and a half inch gro brick(coco coir) top layer. How moist should the coco coir be? When he squeezed a handful only a few drops of water ran down his wrist.

That's perfect! Watch it though, coco dries out fast. You will have to mist accordingly.

watch the colour of the coir, it'll start to go "light brown" as it dries out.... my mate keeps his as wet as your describes but sprays everyday

I love coir, smells so..... earthy
