am I the only one here that thinks forebodingly, as you cross the threshold of the aeroplane, that, perhaps, this might be the last flight you take?
is it morbid, watching the guy hurrying the wrong way, to hope that he drives over the tire spikes?
I hope that I'm not riding on some other's trainwreck.

Since I'm an aspiring pilot, I don't give a shit if there's a small chance of dying a fiery doom. Hell, I'm joining the air force in a few years to fly an F-22.
You think YOU have a good chance of dying in a plane? Try one that somebody else may wind up shooting at
Not that they'd even detect an F-22 before I killed their sorry butt, but meh.

i've flown a shit-load in my life... everytime i start thinking that 'perhaps this plane will crash and burn...'. the strange thing is, it doesn't worry me at all - it is just a possibility. i would just want to die instantly, though, instead of surviving with my body all chopped in half...

Statistically, you have a better chance of dying in a car crash on the way to work.
YOu think flying is bad, imagine haing to drive to work every day.

More people get killed by DONKEY'S then airplanes.
I find that fact a source of comfort.

It's how you die on a airplane that scares me. It could take a a couple of seconds to crash.and add people freaking out and hysterical women screaming, no thanks

This thread DOES NOT come as a comfort to me considering my trip in a couple of days.

xanax I don't have that problem, because it's not logical. It's much more dangerous than driving, and most regular activities. But people who do, take xanax. I've drank before flying, and I wouldn't reccommend it for flights over two hourrs, unless you want an instant hangover when you get off the plane. Just flying without drinking makes me feel hungover. I do get claustrophobic on flights more than five hours long, though. I don't take anything for it. I'm sure xanax would work, but I don't really like the aftereffects of sedation.
