everyone who is around has zero "points" yeah. the punishment that can be dictated by the amount of points, so everyone starts at the same place, it's actually pretty cool. very good idea.

nobody is getting unbanned as far as I know though

I'm not sure if that also means that all permabans are automatically lifted. That would include a lot of people who were banned in the past... not just hanky.

I dunno, with the new system things look better. He should at least give it a test run, see if the permaban will work or not, then leave. As a tribute to the community.

What about MJF? He posted his commentary on a dream that I interpreted to be a paranormal intercession. The ban lottery is paramount to Russian Roulette, in my opinion, and that could easily escalate into snuff movies.

That's my guess at what is behind these seemingly incomprehensible goings on.

If the Ban Lottery is gambling then the question should not be whether the mod's are abusing their powers or not but whether the Shroomery ideals should bow to the gambling interests.

Gambling is big money and I think the issue needs to be out in the open if it is the gambling interest that will dictate site policy.
