There really should be a word for all the incoherent ramblings of drug users who think they've figured out existance.

Im thinking something along the lines of psychobabble, with an emphasis on drug usage.

Any ideas?

as out there as i like to get, to define a word that is meant to relate a feeling so personal would be quite difficult. contrastly tho, there is this word i heard about called love.

how about "delphi's". A reference to the oracle at delphi who sat upon a fissure that emitted hallucengenic fumes and gave out fortunes, none of which were ever correct or important enough to have been recorded.

A psuedo-philospher reference.

I think theirs another classic name for em too, sophists, kinda a metaphysical philosopher, but unlike the ranting idiots on this forum, they had organized and coherent philosophies.

Didn't the Oracle at Delphi say that Socrates was the wisest man in all of Greece? This seems fairly correct, and it was even important enough to be recorded.

Socrates was a psuedophilsopher compared to his student plato. Have you read plato's theory of forms? It mirrors the psychedelic mindset that a higher truth exists from understanding the mind, and therefore a higher truth can be obtained.

sorry, it isnt fair to refer to socrates as a philospoher, hes more of a social scientist. "A universal good"? what a retarted concept.

Plato attributes the theory of forms to Socrates, and this is evident in Plato's early Socratic Dialogues(whether or not the claim is true is debatable). The theory of forms claims that universals are real objects that exist in some higher level of reality(i.e. "universal good" implies that "good" has a real form). Nowadays, this view is called "Platonic Realism", and has some interesting similarities to rationalism and a priori knowledge.

Socrates was indeed a philosopher; do a search for the "Socratic method." You may also note that Socrates is one of the first philosophers to delve into ethical theory: "Is it pious because the gods love it, or do the gods live it because it is pious?"

I find it humorous that you praise Plato's Theory of Forms, yet call "universal good" a retarded concept. You might want to look at these ideas again, in their original context (i.e. read the corresponding dialogues again).

Belief - Mental acceptance of and conviction in the truth, actuality, or validity of something.

Well, to illustrate the difference between philosopher and pseudo-philosopher, I will use the "classic" definition of philosopher:

Philosopher - a lover of wisdom.
Pseudo-Philosopher - an attempted lover of wisdom.

Examples of philosophy would be: ontology, ethics, and metaphysics, with a heavy emphasis on argument validity and soundness, and just a heavy emphasis on argument in general.

Examples of pseudo-philosophy would be: astrology, numerology, and psychedelic-ramblings, with very little to none of an emphasis on argument validity and soundness, and just very little to none of an emphasis on argumentation in general.
