Go ahead... it will work. Put the lids on upside down becuase of the rubber lining thing on the lids of the jar (red ring)
I hear you get more contams this way... Also, you have to worry about water content after wards (becuase the inside of the oven is dry heat) so you'll need to add more water to your substate in advance... Make sure to raise the temp gradualy, the pressure cooker takes a while to get up to 250, but in the oven, the temp will get up that far in about three minutes.

Hope is works...

If worried about jars drying out just bake them dry and use a liquid innoculation tek.
I experimented with 3./4 cup vermiculite,1/3 cup rye flour, mixed em up and baked em for an hour at 275F. I let them cool overnite and had one hell of a time getting tops off (see previous post), anyway got em loose and then innoculated with 1/3 cup of 4 day old honey water mycelium (just shook it really hard and poured it into sterile measuring cup, then into jar) and shook it all up. It colonized the whole jar in about 5 days. Got the idea from a post; I think it was Anno but may be wrong. It worked but I considered it way to much trouble and had to be prone to contamination. So I never tried it again as liquid innoculation will colonize almost as fast in PC'ed jars with a lot less chance of contams.

If you bleached cleaned out your microwave. Would it work to microwave half-pint+ jars for say 3-5 minutes? A PC is not an option right now. Obviously I would not use the metal top at the time of nuking, trying to think of something that could be used.

I would think the heat + microwave energy would kill anything with the potential to live in the microwave.
