Yup, it is a great day to be in debt and unemployed.

Well get your ass out there and find a job. And you might be too late to file for the easy bankruptcy

Bush: (shortly post 9/11) "We will not rest until we get Bin Laden."

Bush: (18 months later) "Bin Laden is not a priority."

He is neutralized, if not dead. He has, effectively, been gotten

Bush: "We are invading Iraq because of 9/11."
Reporter: "Mr. President, not a single 9/11 terrorist was an Iraqi."

Source for the quote please. You are lieing or conveniently editing.

Bush: "The fundamentalist Islamics backed the terrorist acts."
Reporter: "Sir, Iraq is a secualr state."

Source for the quote please. Same as above

Bush: "I meant we are invading Iraq because of WMD."
Reporter: "But none were found."

Source for the quote please. Same as above

Bush: "At least we removed a brutal dictaor who killed his own people."
Reporter: "But sir, those killings mostly took place while your father was in offcie and supporting Saddam."

Source for the quote please. Same as above. As to 41 supporting Saddam wasn't he the one who threw him out of Kuwait and drove Saddam back to Baghdad under strict terms of surrender? The Iran war was over in '88. Bush 41 was president for 4 years, Hussein for 24. That "the killings mostly took place while" he was in office is another lie.

Bush: *growing impatient* "Are you having trouble hearing, son? We invaded to free the Iraqi people!"
Reporter: "Then why did we not invade much more impressive regimes?"

Source for the quote please. Same as above. I'm sure you mean repressive don't you?

Bush: "We are making great strides in Iraq. Next."
Reporter2: "How can we be against the slaughter of civilians when our collateral damage was far worse than any crimes Husein committed?

First accurate Bush quote. He has said that. I heard it.
The reporters assertion however is nonsense. Source for your extent of collateral damage versus killings ordered by Hussein as well as the deaths wrought by his two wars.

Reporter3: "Why is the violence escalating if our Mission was Accomplished?"
Bush: "They hate our freedoms. Remember 9/11? The violence shows that we are gettin' to 'em."

The premise of the reporters question is absurd. The violence is in fact subsiding. The Bush quote is a fabrication

Reporter2: "What about the missing one billion and the corruption in the new regime?"
Bush: "We taught 'em how to model after Washington..."

More fiction.

Your piece of fiction does not belong here. It belongs in the art forum. As an example of sophomoric propogandizing through disinformation. Repeat a lie enough times and sooner or later, if unchallenged, it will become accepted. That is what you and your ilk rely upon

i think it has a place if explicitly named as a constructed event, as it refers to real life circumstances of a political nature, and offers opinion through a semi-artistic practice. The lines blur, but i dont think it is entirely out of place.

It's called satire and it does belong here.

Presumably you couldn't argue with any of the points Swami raised?

In addition to the fabricated quotes they are as follows:

Reporter2: "How can we be against the slaughter of civilians when our collateral damage was far worse than any crimes Husein committed?

In addition to the fabricated quotes

That's known as satire. It's a well known and valid way of commenting on things.

But sir, those killings mostly took place while your father was in offcie and supporting Saddam

I believe the bulk of Saddams killing took place during the Iran-Iraq war and some after the first Gulf war. The US supported Iraq throughout the 80's.

How can we be against the slaughter of civilians when our collateral damage was far worse than any crimes Husein committed

This is a valid point. The number of civilians killed during the invasion of Iraq is enormous. I believe they found about 5000 people in the so-called "mass graves" Saddam was allegedly responsible for.

Why is the violence escalating if our Mission was Accomplished

The violence is escalating. British troops are at breaking point in Southern Iraq and recently faced 109 attacks in a single day.

Both of your assertions are bullshit. Got a source? And don't bother with that dicredited editorial from some doctors group claiming "up to" 100,000 collateral dead. It has been Popeiled to death. Further, it is assinine to assert that those bodies found in mass graves constitute the whole of saddass's victims. As to 5,000, this is laughable:

"We've already discovered just so far the remains of 400,000 people in mass graves," said British Prime Minister Tony Blair on November 20 in London. The United Nations, the U.S. State Department, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch (HRW) all estimate that Saddam Hussein's regime murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent people. "Human Rights Watch estimates that as many as 290,000 Iraqis have been 'disappeared' by the Iraqi government over the past two decades," said the group in a statement in May. "Many of these 'disappeared' are those whose remains are now being unearthed in mass graves all over Iraq."

Got a source? The mission referred to was the toppling of the saddass regime. There are other missions you know. Or can't you conceive of that.

PM admits graves claim 'untrue'

The Observer

Downing Street has admitted to The Observer that repeated claims by Tony Blair that '400,000 bodies had been found in Iraqi mass graves' is untrue, and only about 5,000 corpses have so far been uncovered.

You're awfully keen to call people liars arn't you. I could say your a liar seeing as I've just proved your last points to be blatant lies. But I find personal attacks pretty weak so I'll just assume you didn't know you were wrong.

Got a source?

Yep, here ya go:

The current intensity of day-to-day combat is evident in the recent incident logs for Pte Samuel's regiment which show that soldiers have faced 109 individual attacks in a single day.

Or can't you conceive of that.

You don't like Blair's Number than from the same sentence I repeat this with bold by me
"Human Rights Watch estimates that as many as 290,000 Iraqis have been 'disappeared' by the Iraqi government over the past two decades," said the group in a statement in May. "Many of these 'disappeared' are those whose remains are now being unearthed in mass graves all over Iraq."

As to the amusing Independent editorial, it doesn't actually constitute a reliable report of increased violence in Iraq. You know, like how many attacks there were in January, then February, then April. This kind of thing. Get it.

You don't like Blair's Number

It's not a question of "liking it" or "not liking it". It's a blatant lie and Blair has admitted it's untrue.

Presumably you've learned that the one surefire way of getting your ass owned on Iraq is quoting Tony Blair

"Human Rights Watch estimates that as many as 290,000 Iraqis have been 'disappeared' by the Iraqi government over the past two decades," said the group in a statement in May. "Many of these 'disappeared' are those whose remains are now being unearthed in mass graves all over Iraq."

Get a grip zap. We know what the "estimates" were. Just like the "estimates" of WMD. What we're talking about is HOW MANY HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN FOUND.

Sit back and think about that for a minute or two before you respond and make yourself look silly again.

As to the amusing Independent editorial,

Try again. The 109 attacks in a day was recorded from a soldiers diary not an editorial.

PinocchiAl Lives!

The way you've had your ass owned in this thread it's not surprising you're so desperate to stick to personal attack. My advice is to stick to the name-calling from now on because when you try and talk facts you get owned.

MY ass owned????? Puh-leeze. You really are the most amusing poster. Hat's off to you for complete and utter shamelessness. Few can hold a candle.

So, 1 soldier's diary counted 109 attacks in one day. I wonder what the Independent considers to be an attack. Name calling, perhaps. You probably have attacked Bush 109 times yourself just today

Blair says 400,000, Human Rights Watch says 290,00, Pinocchial says 5,000. Hmmmmmmm, Got a link? Hmmmmmmm. Who to believe? Find rock. Crawl back beneath. Amateur

I told you to think before you posted. You've just made yourself look very silly again.

I've had a great week. Your linkee no workee. It is from July 2004, fully 16 months old. And it doesn't address the fact that found bodies in mass graves as of that date do not necessarily constitute the whole of those killed by saddass. You are a fabricator and an apologist for thugs.

You may be talking about how many were found as of 16 months ago, Swami was not.

As to the original Swami lie that was so obvious you couldn't see it:

Swami's farce:

Alex's statement:

You yourself put the lie label on Swami's jive. Or do you seem to have some memory bank issue putting Bush senior in office that whole time.

You truly are one of the best. Never change.

Ah..I see. To be honest I couldn't remember a damn thing about you and was just being kind. If you've always been this pissy then my mistake.

And it doesn't address the fact that found bodies in mass graves as of that date do not necessarily constitute the whole of those killed by saddass.

But it establishes the 400,000 deaths claim you posted was a blatant lie.

And it doesn't address the fact that found bodies in mass graves as of that date do not necessarily constitute the whole of those killed by saddass.

It was never meant to. It was meant to address your bullshit claims that 400,000 people had been found in mass graves.

You are a fabricator

So correcting lies is fabrication? Great definition.

You may be talking about how many were found as of 16 months ago, Swami was not

But you were. That's why you posted the lying bullshit about the "400,000" which I corrected.

You truly are one of the best. Never change

If by "never change" you mean I correct you when you're posting lies such as the "400,000" people then you're right.

To be honest I would have assumed you'd be grateful to have a lie you believed in demolished. Maybe not.

I posted that to refute your ridiculous 5,000 number. Two numbers were given in that link. Either one sufficed to discredit your bullshit. When you are off by a factor of over 50 from your friends at Human Rights Watch it is clear that you are dissembling. What I believed in was neither specific number. Just that Swami lied and you prevaricated.

I have always been this pissy. Have you always been this dishonest?

It's not my number zap. It's the number of bodies recovered from mass graves by the people who are digging them out. You don't seem to be able to grasp this.

Two numbers were given in that link.Either one sufficed to discredit your bullshit.

What the fuck are you talking about man? Blair has admitted his 400,000 claim was a lie. How can a lie discredit what the people actually recovering the bodies have said?

When you are off by a factor of over 50 from your friends at Human Rights Watch it is clear that you are dissembling

I'm not sure if you're being serious or what. You don't seem to undersand the difference between an estimate and reality. The reality is that 5000 bodies had been recovered. Not 400,000 and not 290,000. You really need to sit back and think about this for a while.

I have always been this pissy

I believe you.

Have you always been this dishonest?

Where am I being dishonest? Presumably you now accept that the 400,000 was a lie? Even Blair has admitted it was. You're not telling me you believe Blair's lies even when he's admitted they were lies are you?
