I always go the simple route-- boil in salt water and go at it with pipe cleaners. Works like a charm.

most rubbing alcohol has a large percentage of water, which doesn't help very much. do yourself a favor and get some fuzzy little pipe cleaners like KC said and stop by the hardware store for a small can/bottle of denatured alcohol. that stuff works like a champ. soak it for a bit.

I say save the resin that you can. That stuff is just as good, if not better than smoking dro. That is, if you pipe has encountered some good reefer.

Then, putting it through the dishwasher always worked for me.

Fill a plastic bag with rubbing alcohol, and salt, then let your piece soak in it for a little bit then wipe out the resin with a Q-tip. That is what I do, and it works great! Just make sure you wash it in some water after you are done.

hell yes.. this is my first pipe.. and ive had some hella memories with it.. i dont think im ever going to give this baby up!

There's a liquid made especially for cleaning resins from pipes that you can get from headshops. Its called Purple something. It comes in a purple bottle and has purple in the name. Anyway, just let your peice soak in the purple liquid for a day or longer depending on how dirty it is. Also, the regular version seems to work better than their New and Improved or Extra Strength version. Sorry I forget the name.. I think need to clean some bong resin out of my head.

You've obviously never tried resin hits then. What we used to do is scrape it all out of the bowl and make a ball out of it. Stick it on the side of the bowl and smoke the hell out of it. It will get you STOOOOONED. Tell me that you folks know what im talking about...
