Pressure cooker suggestion?
    #4831249 -

I've had a Presto 6qt pressure cooker for a while now, but the thing just isn't big enough to do quart jars with. I'm really sick of screwing around with pints, and looking to upgrade. Is there a good pressure cooker anybody can recommend that'll do quart jars and be reasonably quiet, etc? I'd prefer something I could pick up locally, e.g. at Wal-Mart or Sears.

I'd recommend just going to a wal-mart or sears and shopping for one. You'll find one that suits your needs. Although if you want something hefty sized you may have to look harder and you'll definitely have to pay through the nose.

you can shoot your self out of a cannon, if you can fit in a AA941, or go over Niagra Falls.

I have the AA910 (ALL AMERICAN pressure cookers are awesome)

They keep their resell value, so years from now, if you need a bigger one, you can upgrade.

I got mine on eBay pretty cheap

I would suggest getting at least a 21 quart pressure cooker...
no matter what brand you end up getting.

I prefer the All American brand...
although you won't find these at Walmart.

Good luck finding anything decent sized locally. I went to every store I could think of and didnt find anything bigger than 8 quarts.

Finally ordered this although it was on special for 89.95 with free shipping when I ordered.

BIGGER IS BETTER.

ALL AMERICAN IS THE BEST.

An AA 921, or 925 is a great PC.

An AA 941 is the COCK OF THE WALK (picture above).

Check out this thread, it is an idea I had for people with small PCs or PCs on loan (or buy a big one and return it to the store after sterilizing lots of grains). I should know the results in the next week or 2

Where'd you get that electric burner? I've been looking for one for a while, and it would be a huge asset to me assuming the PC is also pretty quiet.
