Help buying a small Pressure Cooker
    #1265177 - 01/31/03 10:52 AM (14 years, 1 month ago)

Greetings, I know alot of you use the All-American pressure cookers, but unfortunately I can afford such a nice one, I can get a small cheap one is about all I can afford. I want to start working with grains which is why I need a PC (Im thinking of something like THIS )

My question is can you use Mycobags in the PC?? a small one would work fine if I can use Mycobags.

Any other suggestions on how someone can start working with grains on a low budget would be great. I want grains so I can spawn poo/straw

IMHO, You will not be happy with it. They are very small & you will wish you had a bigger better one, before long.

Here is a lower prive on an AA 921.
AA PC CLICK HERE

Best investment you can make, in this hobby. You would not regret it (IMHO).

I agree with sixtango, you should just save up a bit more money and buy a bigger pc. If your going to be using grain for a substrate you should use large canning jars which sometimes dont fit well in the small pc's.

Mirro Pressure Cooker 8 Quart
List Price : $ 96.49
Our Price : $ 48.50
You Save: $ 47.99

Not a good deal in my honest opinion.

You can pick up a better pressure cooker on Ebay new or used...and cheaper.
I have bought 2 All American pressure cookers off Ebay for a fraction of their price...one was brand new...I saved over $50.00!!!

You can pick up a good used one for that $48.50 on Ebay and get a much larger pressure cooker.

here is one to watch...buy it at the last minute!!

here is the list of all the All Americans for sale on Ebay right now!

You can also get presto or other brands really really cheap on Ebay!

good luck!

Holy shit! 97 bucks is the list price for an 8qt mirro? I paid 80 for my 17 qt mirro with a real gauge on it!

That sounds like a BIG time ripoff.

Thanks for the input guys, thats what I needed, ill try to get an AA pressure cooker. About the link I posted, I wasnt planning on ordering, just showing what I thought I saw at wal-mart hehe. I have no idea what a good deal on a PC is, I just knew the AA ones were really pricey. ill keep watching e-bay, and thanks again for the advice, I will take it and wait to get a better PC
