 Is Shrooms Dangerous? Very?

Im quite interested in some facts i need confirmed. As i have been told about tripping. Ive become a bit nervous about it even i havent had chance trying it yet... But thats because i got these maybe facts about how dangerous it is and such..
I just hope somebody who knows alot about it to tell about the dangers that i do when trying,
Out from what others tell me it sounds like its a big chance to be braindamaged or never come back down. But is that with shrooms or mostly lsd? or nothing of those?
I think i have enough self control to say to myself that if i get a bad trip hallusination that its just my head, but are you in control to say that when your "there"?
And should i just calm all down with this thing and not worry about being braindead from trying?
Just hope someone can answer and make me a bit more calm with this as some people might have told a bit scary stories just to tell its bad

tripping changes your head in ways you cant understand untill youve tried it. but its not that bad, brain damage isnt going to occur if you try it once. i think tripping is the most fun ive ever had on a drug, but you cant be scared before you trip or it might not even work for you. so just be calm and ready for a mind expanding experience that is sure to come with shrooms or acid.

Ok, but i mean, why should brain damage occur? if this is fun once, can it be the same dangerous each time?
And is it that dangerous after all? if you have a stabile mind and such? how often happens dangerous side effectcs? and how long can they last and allindall... Should i just be totally calm like i am with Marihuana?

yes, calm down and don't worry about brain damage! it isn't dangerous. never heard of dangerous side-effects.
take app. 2g for your first trip, you'll be fine.

From everything (scientific reports) i'v read there isn't any proof that mushrooms or lsd cause braindamage of any kind!
"Never comming back down": You'll come back to whatever state you were in before you tried them, although with the experience of "tripping" and this can give a lot of things in your life new ways of looking at them, consider it an extra... it'll seem as if you can look at things just a bit different too if you like... it truely is experience which you will gain nothing more or less!

Mushrooms and lsd have more or less the same impact in most ways. So : no brain damage on either of them!

What's best if things get rough : throw away the self control you're trying to keep, just let it all wash over you ... if you're going to die... let yourself die.
If you're going insane... then go insane and don't resist it!!
If you're saying to yourself: i'm in control, i'm in control ... then it's possible that you start doubting yourself and you'll say something like "this can't be right, i'm not in control, what the hell am i saying ... i must be going insane ... etc..."
Instead of this just accept everything that comes and goes, and you'll have a great experience!!
The only feeling that can make a trip bad is resistance to your feelings i guess...
Of course it's easier said than done... just make everything comfortable before you trip and then relax totally and enjoy!
when you're "there" it's pretty easy to doubt yourself and everything ... so just live for the moment you don't need to feel bad ... just think to yourself tell yourself how funny it all is!! think possitive about the things you see... it's all so strange but make it good then you'll feel good too!

Yeah, if you WANT to have a good experience and if you're really looking forward to it (and plan things carefully, don't take more than 1.5 to 2g dried, set , setting) it'll probably be a nice experience!! it's really not THAT bad at all  you'll c... but whatever you do ... don't loose your respect towards these substances...

-Most hallucinogens have been more or less proven to not cause one bit of damage. So don't worry. You won't get brain damage taking shrooms or LSD once, twice, or as many times as you want.
-You will always come down from the trip. There have always been rumors about "that guy who ate, like, a whole sheet of acid and now he's tripping forever!". They just aren't true. Don't worry about it, you'll trip and you'll come back down.
-You will, generally, have 100% controll over your actions. When you hallucinate...you will know that you're hallucinating. Unless, of course, you have a bad trip.
Make sure you are in a comfortable place, with comfortable people and that you feel OK emotionally (happy, not depressed) and you'll be fine. Don't dive into a huge dose for your first trip. One hit of acid or anything between 1 and 2 grams of shrooms should be good. Just relax and try to remember to have fun (hey, that's why you're using hallucinogens in the first place, right?).

Tripping does not cause brain damage. It may change your world view or how you view your life, government, greed, etc. But don't worry you won't be brain dead. Just think about it how would there be so many thousands of shroomery members able to type and respond to messages on this board if they were all brain dead. This place has some of the inteligent and most honorable people I have had the pleasure of talking with. Also I have taken maybe over 100 acid trips and maybe a little less shroom trips and maybe a dozen DXM trips and last year when I was 17 I took the 10th grade florida standardized test called FCAT. Its an assessment of mathematics and reading comprehension and its hyped up around here to be kind of hard to pass and I scored in the upper third percentile(in the state) in both reading and math. So there is proof I am not brain dead and I even started at an age that is probably to young. People who are anti-drug may say "it will catch up with him later on in life" or something to that affect but I really can't see that happening. And by the way I think the mushrooms or acid will give you the kind of trip that you need to have so if you have a bad trip it is probably for your own good so try to learn from it.
